## Status update 2024-08-01
We have been using hbs2 and hbs2-git for approximately 10 months.
While functional, the experience for newcomers is not entirely smooth.
This may be attributed to certain design choices made in favor of
performance over user experience and consistency.
Currently, we are in the process of redesigning hbs2-git to enhance
its performance, leveraging new mechanisms such as refchans and
hbs2-share. This may also lead to a new repository structure.
The redesign is expected to take a few weeks, approximately 2 to 3.
